OUR DRIVING FORCE IS OUR LOVE FOR MUSIC. SINCE THE BEGINNING, LOVEFEST HAS STRIVED FOR HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCTION THAT CREATES A UNIQUE AND EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE.
HISTORY
Lovefest, officially the best regional festival of 2018, was born over a decade ago, specifically in 2007, out of the desire of young enthusiasts from Vrnjaèka Banja to bring world-class music events to their town. The festival began as a one-day music event on the now-famous Bridge of Love, from which it derives its name.
In its first year, with minimal resources and without the support of commercial sponsors, the state, or local government, Lovefest attracted 1,000 people from nearby towns in just one day. The following year, the festival moved to the Summer Stage, now known as the “Danilo Bata Stojkoviæ” stage. In addition to local performers, it featured a big name in the DJ world, Marshall Jefferson. This drew 6,000 people from across Serbia and increased commercial sponsor interest.
Up until 2013, Lovefest was held on the Summer Stage, lasting three days, with attendance growing each year. Recognizing the growing interest not just from Serbia but from the entire region, the festival needed a larger venue. Since 2014, the festival has been held in the central city park, hosting over 25,000 guests from all over Europe in a single festival day.
To date, more than half a million people have visited Lovefest. The festival now features five music stages, hosting over 3,000 performers from around the world. For many guests and performers alike, visiting Serbia and Vrnjaèka Banja for Lovefest marked their first visit to our country.
